Semi-Wordless Wednesday: Coolest CEO Ever Edition

Happy Hump Day!  I hope everyone is having a super week.  My week has been a little crazy, but that seems to be the norm when I have a short work week.

The CEO of my company decided to turn one of our conference rooms into a gym.  This is where I will be spending most of my lunches from now on.  #Triathlete'sDream
Today's midday run- easy 3 mile run.
I did my first run in my fancy new trainers- Adidas adiZero Boston 3. They super light weight  and feel awesome.  This weekend I caved and bought a pair of Newtons, so during my transition those, I will be rocking these flashy shoes.  FYI for non-runners- you cannot jump right into wearing Newtons.  Newton running shoes are designed to make you a more efficient runner.  So if you are a heel striker like me, it is going to take time for the muscles and tendons to adjust to the new running form.

Semi-Wordless Weekend Recap: Birthday Edition

This weekend wasn't all fun and games. :)  I decided to hit the pool at Hains Point on Friday after work.
After the crazy storm on Friday night, my 10 mile run on Saturday was more like a 10 mile steeplechase. Yay for climbing over trees and splashing through puddles!
Huck's brother and sister-in-law were visiting this weekend, so we took them to dinner at Proof. NOM NOM NOM
For Huck's b-day surprise, we went to Kings Dominion.  We had so much fun!

Huck even talked me into riding the Intimidator 305. Sooooo fun, but really scary!!!
Yesterday was Huck's actual b-day, so of course I wanted to take him to dinner.  We had a delicious meal at Co Co Sala.

Huck's fantastic dessert.
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!!

Wordless Wednesday: Joker Edition

Yes, that is me walking through DSW with a sticker on my tush.  My lovely BF decided it would be funny to put a sticker on my tush and let me walk all around for an hour or so with it on. To make things worse, 5+ people saw it and didn't said anything.

If you ever see me walking around with something on my tush- PLEASE tell me!

Wordless Wednesday: Confession Edition

So last night I was craving chocolate or something sweet and I didn't have anything in my apartment.  This is clearly the result of me craving something sweet on a regular basis and burning through my stash of goodies WAY TOO fast.  What did I do, you ask??

Well I considered eating this.

Then I considered drinking this
.
And I finally decided to eat this.

Hello, my name is Whitney and I am addicted to sweets.  Someone please help me!

Semi-Wordless Wednesday: Ragnar Relay Edition

Happy Hump Day!! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend and your week is going well.  The first 2 days of this week have been pretty crazy, so I apologize for not posting sooner. :)  This past weekend, I ran the Washington DC Ragnar Relay.  Definitely my favorite race to date!  It was awesome.  We finished in 28:44:16 which put us 17th in our division of 115 teams.  Go us!!!  I was also really happy with my splits for my legs of the race.  First leg- 7.84 miles w/ an average pace of 8:30.  Second leg- 4.78 miles with an average pace of 7:38. Thirds leg 6.82 miles with an average pace of 8:16. And now for the pictures...

Before my first leg-  I was super nervous!

Yay for medals that are bottle openers!
Bling for being the 3rd runner and having a crazy mountain to climb

Sweet belt buckle, but it would take up half of my tummy if I actually wore it!
If you haven't done a relay before, DO IT!!! So much fun! I cannot wait for the next one. Special thanks to my teammates for making my first relay an awesome one. :)
